On November 14, 2025, the diabetes community in Denver came together to mark World Diabetes Day. The event, which has been held yearly, was emceed by CBS Colorado's Michael Spencer and aimed to bring awareness and support for those affected by the disease.
One of the key participants was Jordan Keltner, a "Love is Blind" contestant and children's author, who joined the cause to advocate for children living with diabetes, including his own son, Luca. Keltner is the co-author of the "Dear Luca" book series, which reflects the emotions and experiences of his son's type 1 diabetes diagnosis.
"Honestly, it means a lot that I get to come out and support not just my son, but everyone who's experiencing the struggles of this disease," said Keltner. "It's tough to manage, but I'm just happy to be a cheerleader for everyone here."
