Dehradun's health department has escalated its inspection of medical facilities following a recent fire that claimed a life and injured others in an ICU. This intensified crackdown has led to the immediate closure of a dental hospital in Selaqui for operating without proper registration.
Further actions included issuing show-cause notices to multiple establishments. Yash Hospital and Kar Vida Clinic were cited for unsatisfactory sanitation and a lack of registration records, respectively. Ayushman Health Care Clinic and Doon Pulse Care Clinic also faced notices for insufficient paramedical staff and improper record maintenance.
Separately, in response to prevailing heatwave conditions across Uttarakhand, the health department has mandated the setup of dedicated heatstroke rooms in all state medical units. These rooms will be equipped with essential supplies to manage heatstroke emergencies.
