In a video shared on the occasion, Deepika reflected on the foundation's journey since its inception in 2015, inspired by her own battle with depression. She expressed pride in the significant shift in mental health awareness in India over the past 10 years, stating, "When people come up to me and say, 'You've saved a life,' or 'You've helped my daughter,' nothing compares to that feeling."
Deepika emphasized that psychotherapy in India is evolving to integrate Western science and Indian traditions, with practices like yoga and meditation, alongside medical treatment, benefiting those dealing with mental illness. The foundation's core belief remains that no life should be lost due to mental illness, and Padukone expressed gratitude to all who have supported their journey.
