The Live Love Laugh Foundation, led by Deepika Padukone, is expanding its rural mental health program in Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh. This expansion is supported by a new three-year Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnership with Bisleri International. The collaboration aims to increase access to mental healthcare in underserved rural communities.
The initiative, which began in January 2023 in the Sausar block, has grown significantly. It initially covered 60 villages and has now extended to 134 villages, reaching 1,595 beneficiaries. The program's reach has further expanded into the Bichua block, encompassing an additional 42 villages and providing support to 200 individuals living with mental illness.
The program focuses on raising awareness, early identification of mental health conditions, improving treatment accessibility, and offering caregiver support. It also emphasizes grassroots participation to ensure a sustainable, long-term impact within rural areas. Both Padukone and Jayanti Chauhan of Bisleri International expressed optimism about fostering greater understanding and a more compassionate care ecosystem.
