More than one hundred people recently convened at Ford Field for CPR training, an initiative by the Detroit Lions Foundation and the American Heart Association. The event focused on equipping community members with essential skills to respond during cardiac emergencies. Participants practiced crucial techniques, including chest compressions and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
Walled Lake Consolidated Schools staff also received dedicated CPR certification. The American Heart Association is providing 20 CPR training kits to the district, an effort expected to reach over 11,000 students. This expansion of CPR education aims to increase the number of lives saved by ensuring more individuals are prepared to act in critical moments.
