Regret Over Lithuania Facelift: Hearing Loss & Lopsided Mouth
30 Nov
Summary
- Woman seeks £7k corrective surgery after a £8k face and neck lift.
- She claims the procedure caused hearing loss and a lopsided mouth.
- Legal avenues are limited due to surgery being performed abroad.

Angela Paterson, a 48-year-old tattoo artist from Scotland, is preparing for corrective surgery after a £8,000 cosmetic procedure in Lithuania left her with alleged hearing loss and a lopsided mouth. She claims the facelift, neck lift, and blepharoplasty at Nordesthetics Clinic in Kaunas resulted in scarring, a bunched-up eye, and persistent hearing issues, significantly affecting her confidence and mental health.
Paterson, who had previously had successful surgery in Turkey, chose Lithuania for its proximity. She reported immediate post-operative concerns about her hearing and facial asymmetry, but states the clinic dismissed them. Despite assurances that recovery issues were normal, ongoing problems like scarring and platysma bands led her to seek further medical advice, which indicated significant complications.
With corrective surgery and travel estimated at over £7,000, Paterson faces a difficult path. Legal action in the UK has been largely inaccessible due to the surgery's location abroad. The clinic has offered revision surgery for £600, but Paterson believes more extensive and costly procedures are necessary to address the alleged damage.
