The district administration in Barwani has sealed a private clinic in Anjad town. This action was taken on Saturday evening following the death of a young girl, with her family alleging medical negligence. A health department team confiscated allopathic medicines and equipment from the clinic run by BHMS doctor Nikhil Batham.
Dr. Batham reportedly treated the girl for a high fever with allopathic medicines, including injections. When her condition worsened, he transferred her to a private hospital in Barwani, and she was later referred to Indore. The family submitted a complaint on Thursday, stating their daughter Tanvi's condition deteriorated rapidly after receiving treatment at the clinic on September 29. She ultimately died on October 2 in Indore, with doctors there indicating severe organ damage from high drug doses.
The family has demanded a thorough investigation into the doctor's qualifications and a murder case registration. Relatives and local residents have expressed anger over the incident. A report is being submitted to the collector regarding the matter.
