This incident gained significant attention, leading to a crucial advisory from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
The FSSAI's advisory, dated June 12, mandates the immediate discontinuation of metallic pins, wires, or similar materials in food preparation and packaging. The authority highlighted the serious food safety hazard and risk of injury posed by such materials being inadvertently consumed by consumers.
