Chhattisgarh: Quacks' Injections Lead to Tragic Deaths

Unregulated healthcare in rural Chhattisgarh is under intense scrutiny following two alleged fatalities linked to injections administered by unqualified individuals. In Balrampur, a three-year-old boy succumbed to fever after reportedly receiving an injection from a local quack. His condition rapidly worsened post-injection, leading to his death before he could reach further medical attention.

In a separate incident in Kondagaon, a woman died after her condition allegedly deteriorated following an injection. The laboratory technician who administered it was reportedly not authorized to provide medical treatment or injections, according to health officials. Investigations have been initiated by both police and health authorities in both cases. Post-mortem examinations are pending to establish the precise causes of death and confirm any connection to the injections.
