Chennai Hospital Launches Comprehensive Men's Health Program

In November 2025, the Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU) in Chennai has launched a comprehensive men's health awareness program. The initiative, which coincides with the month dedicated to men's health, aims to encourage men to prioritize their reproductive and sexual health, promote early screening, and address the growing burden of male infertility, sexual health issues, and lifestyle-related urological disorders.

The wellness program at the hospital includes a consultation with an andrologist, hormone profiling, diabetes and metabolic screening, a scrotal ultrasound, and semen analysis for fertility screening. According to the press release, the program seeks to raise awareness and make early interventions accessible, as men's health continues to be an under-discussed area.

Sanjay Prakash J., the clinical lead for AINU's andrology department, emphasizes the crucial need to foster open conversations around conditions often overlooked due to social stigma. The launch of this comprehensive program aims to address this gap and empower men to prioritize their overall health and well-being.
