The agency currently has approximately 100 staff members engaged in the response both domestically and internationally.
This move by the CDC coincides with the Trump administration's request for an additional $1.4 billion from Congress to fund the Ebola response. Furthermore, the CDC has extended travel restrictions on non-U.S. citizens arriving from Congo, South Sudan, or Uganda until July 21.
