24 Aug
Summary
- Charity co-founder donated skincare products to a hospital.
- He received radiotherapy treatment at the same hospital.
- Donated items aim to help patients with skin reactions.

Niven Whatley, a co-founder of the charity Ailsa's Aim, has made a significant donation of around 100 skincare products to cancer patients. The recipient of this thoughtful gesture is Northampton General Hospital, the very place where Whatley underwent his radiotherapy treatment for bowel cancer.
Whatley described experiencing uncomfortable skin irritation during his own therapy, noting how this side effect made it difficult to escape the reality of his treatment. Having now completed his radiotherapy, he characterized the experience as "scary" but expressed that his donation offers "a ray of sunshine and a bit of normality."
He continues to receive cancer treatment and believes these products will help alleviate the discomfort for other patients. Whatley also expressed a hope that his contribution might help break down any associated "taboo" for individuals undergoing similar medical journeys.
