Summary
- Diagnosed with Grade 4 medulloblastoma at age 32.
- Undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment.
- Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support via HYROX.

Nico, aged 32, received a life-altering diagnosis of Grade 4 medulloblastoma earlier this year after experiencing persistent headaches. Following an emergency MRI scan, doctors discovered a tumor growing in his head.
He has since undergone brain surgery and is currently undergoing a six-week course of radiotherapy, five days a week. This will be followed by at least six months of chemotherapy.
Despite the physical toll of treatment, including significant fatigue, Nico remains positive and has set himself the goal of completing a HYROX event by the end of 2026 or early 2017. A HYROX challenge involves running and functional workout stations.
This challenging event serves as a motivator for Nico, keeping him focused on his nutrition and fitness. He is also fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support, with donations already exceeding £26,400 ($35,300).
Nico is sharing his journey on social media platforms, @hospital_to_hyrox on TikTok and Instagram, to keep loved ones updated and raise awareness about cancer treatment realities. His story has gained viral attention, garnering significant support online.
