A Canadian mother of four, Jessika Chagnon Gailloux, 35, from Quebec, tragically died in Antalya, Turkey, on Saturday, March 8, 2026, after undergoing a tummy tuck and breast lift. The circumstances surrounding her death are under investigation by authorities.
Investigators are exploring whether recent narcotic use by Gailloux contributed to her death, as she allegedly used cannabis three days before her flight to Turkey on March 2, 2026. Her friend, Stephanie Jobin, stated that the drug use claim is untrue and a result of language barriers.
Despite the surgery concluding without complications, Gailloux became unwell in her hospital room and could not be revived. An autopsy has been performed, with toxicology results pending. Her grieving mother expressed profound sorrow on Facebook, while a GoFundMe has been established for her children.
