The extensive upgrade, completed in three stages, now features a modern main entrance, reception area, interview rooms, and expanded treatment bays, alongside a refreshed waiting room.
The completion of the ED upgrade signifies the conclusion of broader redevelopment works at Broken Hill Health Services. Notably, the new paediatric bay and consult rooms have been enhanced with artwork contributed by local artists, creating a more welcoming and supportive environment for all visitors, patients, and staff. Permanent, clearly signposted access arrangements are now in place for ED patients and visitors.
