A McHenry woman's life has been transformed following a successful brain surgery that enabled her to conceive again. Lisa Fasone, 32, had been struggling with pituitary gland issues that arose after her first pregnancy, which subsequently made it impossible for her to get pregnant a second time.
Her condition worsened despite various medications. Doctors eventually discovered a tumor, prompting Fasone to seek a surgical solution. She underwent a remarkable procedure at Northwestern where specialists were able to access and remove the tumor by operating through her nasal passage.
As a result of the successful surgery, Fasone gave birth to her daughter, Natalie, in February. Both mother and baby are reported to be in excellent health. Fasone remains under regular monitoring to ensure the tumor does not recur.
