Comedian Davro Urges Men: Get Your Prostate Checked!

Comedian Bobby Davro, aged 67, has disclosed his diagnosis with prostate cancer, a revelation that brought him significant relief upon learning it was not terminal. He shared his emotional response, stating that confirmation of the non-terminal nature of his illness allowed him to anticipate future Christmases. Davro appeared on ITV's This Morning to advocate for men's health, specifically encouraging them to undergo PSA (prostate-specific antigen) tests and prostate examinations.

Davro reported that his doctor identified a swollen prostate, leading to a PSA test that revealed a concerning level of 24. Subsequent NHS investigations included a biopsy, which determined the cancer to be of intermediate stage. He mentioned that erectile dysfunction was the only symptom he experienced prior to his diagnosis. Davro's fiancée previously passed away from pancreatic cancer, and he himself suffered a stroke two years ago, from which he believes he has now recovered.
