Ali Farhan is now reported to be out of danger, having been transferred to the ICU and started on a liquid diet. The hospital administration lauded the surgery as a landmark achievement for its emergency services. The father, Mohammad Sohan, was referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital due to his severe facial injuries.
Authorities are investigating the incident, which police believe was carried out by local miscreants, potentially motivated by the victims' opposition to illegal liquor and brown sugar trade in the area. The police are actively conducting raids to apprehend the alleged perpetrators.
