Beverley Callard's Heartbreak After Cancer Surgery

Actress Beverley Callard, 68, has provided an emotional update following her recent breast cancer surgery. She disclosed feeling sore, queasy, and highly emotional, stating that she has been unable to even answer her phone due to her sensitivity.

Callard, who was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after relocating to Dublin for a role in 'Fair City', expressed gratitude for a gift from a stranger—a cushion meant to ease under-arm pain. She also recounted a deeply emotional experience when her post-surgery dressings were removed for the first time, leading her to cry after initially feeling strong while reflecting on other women facing similar battles.

The actress underwent surgery to remove two lymph nodes as a precautionary measure. She previously announced her diagnosis earlier this month and shared that the cancer was caught early. Callard is expected to return home to Norfolk for radiotherapy and further surgery.
