Children with neurodevelopmental and neurological disorders are benefiting from a unique integration of Ayurveda, yoga, and modern therapies. Launched in November 2025, the PRAYAS centre at the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) in Goa provides coordinated rehabilitation services.
This pioneering facility has served 574 outpatients and 176 inpatients, offering specialized neuro-muscular and neuro-behavioral care. Dr. Sujata Kadam highlighted the centre's success in improving children's quality of life.
The PRAYAS centre treats conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and global developmental delay. It combines Ayurvedic interventions with physiotherapy, yoga, speech therapy, and occupational therapy for comprehensive, child-centred care.
