The National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA) in Panchkula is experiencing a significant daily influx of over 500 patients seeking specialized Ayurvedic treatments and Panchakarma therapies. The institute's hospital boasts 12 outpatient departments and a 100-bed inpatient facility, ensuring comprehensive healthcare services are accessible to a wide range of patients. Since October 16, 2023, NIA has been providing essential health services including free OPD consultations, Panchakarma, ECG, and blood sugar testing.
Established under the Ministry of AYUSH and functioning under NIA Jaipur, the institute aims to be a center of excellence for Ayurvedic education, clinical training, and holistic healthcare. It offers the BAMS program, integrating classical Ayurvedic principles with modern medical knowledge. Advanced infrastructure supports both theoretical learning and practical clinical exposure, attracting a growing number of international students interested in the ancient healing science.
