A delegation from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, recently visited the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research. The team conducted a thorough review of patient care services, treatment protocols, and the overall administration of the cardiac institute.
The inspection covered outpatient and inpatient sections, intensive care units, the cardiac surgery department, cath labs, and support services. Officials assessed patient flow, hygiene, and operational efficiency across various units of the facility.
During the visit on Friday, AIIMS Director M. Srinivas highlighted Jayadeva as one of India's busiest cardiac centers, managing between 1,800 and 2,000 outpatients daily. He commended the institute's strengths, including its clean environment, streamlined systems, and high patient satisfaction, acknowledging its international recognition.
