AIIMS-Patna Expands: New Cancer, Child Care Centers Coming

AIIMS-Patna is set to significantly enhance its specialized healthcare infrastructure with the planned establishment of a Mother and Child Block and a Comprehensive Cancer Centre. These new facilities are designed to broaden the range of advanced treatment options available to patients.

The institute also declared its ambition to become a leading organ transplantation center for Bihar. This initiative seeks to improve access to critical transplant services within the state, thereby decreasing the necessity for residents to seek care outside Bihar.

Furthering its technological integration, AIIMS-Patna will establish an AI Special Purpose Hub to promote the use of artificial intelligence and cutting-edge technologies in healthcare delivery. This forward-thinking approach aims to leverage advanced tech for better patient outcomes.

In a move to strengthen its academic and management prowess, AIIMS-Patna has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with IIM-Bodh Gaya. This collaboration will foster knowledge exchange, joint academic programs, and capacity-building initiatives in healthcare management.
