Dr. Nikhil Tandon has been appointed as the acting Director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. This temporary assignment follows the transition of Dr. M Srinivas to a full-time member of NITI Aayog.

With 25 years of experience as a clinician-researcher specializing in cardio-metabolic disease, Dr. Tandon has a strong background in public healthcare and research. His work includes large-scale epidemiology studies and research into childhood obesity genetics.
