The Summer Conference 2026 of the Cardiological Society of India (CSI), Kerala Chapter, commenced on May 9, 2026, focusing on AI-driven diagnosis and minimally invasive procedures in cardiology. Leading experts are gathering to explore how artificial intelligence, precision imaging, and advanced devices are reshaping patient care. Discussions include innovations such as drug-coated balloon angioplasty and leadless pacemakers, which enable earlier risk detection and more precise interventions. These therapies, once experimental, are now becoming standard practice, aiming for safer and more effective patient outcomes.
A significant announcement at the conference was the CSI-Joy Alukkas Free PPI Scheme. Through a corporate social responsibility initiative, Joy Alukkas Group is partnering with CSI Kerala Chapter to donate 30 dual-chamber pacemakers. These devices, valued at approximately ₹2.5 lakh each, will be given free to patients facing financial difficulties and lacking health insurance, ensuring access to critical cardiac technology.
