Comorbidities such as diabetes, COPD, anemia, and substance addiction were frequently noted.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has initiated a plan involving regular patient follow-ups, awareness campaigns for government schemes, and ensuring medication adherence. The AMC also focuses on early identification of new and high-risk patients, treating family members, and providing financial and nutritional aid to combat the disease's impact.
