Peacock Day: WWF Spotlights Green Skills in Delhi

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), through its Environment Information, Awareness, Capacity Building and Livelihood Programme (EIACP), organized Peacock Day events in New Delhi between February 3 and 5. The gatherings brought together various institutions to highlight initiatives focused on environmental awareness and sustainable practices.
The EIACP center, part of the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education's Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding (ICFRE-IFGTB), participated by exhibiting innovative eco-friendly products. These items were developed through the Green Skill Development Programme (GSDP).
Senior Programme Officer S. Vigneswaran detailed the EIACP's objectives and GSDP courses. He emphasized their role in cultivating green skills among young people and local populations, encouraging environmentally sound practices.
The exhibition successfully engaged students, ministry officials, NGOs, and the general public, garnering appreciation for the eco-innovations and ICFRE-IFGTB's commitment to environmental education.
