Wingham Wildlife Park: Animal Homes Get Double the Space!
22 Jul
Summary
- Park expansion nearly doubles site size with new animal habitats.
- Visitors can see new enclosures for tigers, lions, and monkeys.
- The park previously raised funds for animal enrichment items.

A significant expansion at Wingham Wildlife Park in Kent is set to open its first phase to the public. The park's refurbishment will almost double its current size near Canterbury.
New enclosures, featuring state-of-the-art homes for iconic species such as tigers, Asiatic lions, squirrel monkeys, and agoutis, will be accessible starting Wednesday at 11:00 BST. These carefully designed habitats are intended to encourage natural animal behaviors.
This project marks a new chapter for the wildlife attraction, which originally opened in 1986 as Wingham Bird Park. The park aims to provide enhanced environments and immersive viewing experiences for visitors. Previously, in April, the park sought public donations to fund enrichment toys and specialized equipment.
