UK Heatwave Returns: 30C+ Temps Expected This Weekend!

After a period of unsettled weather, including rain and showers, parts of the UK are preparing for a significant rise in temperatures. Meteorologists from the Met Office forecast that the mercury could climb above the seasonal average of around 21C, with projections suggesting temperatures will comfortably reach the high 20s and potentially exceed 30C over the upcoming weekend.

This anticipated warmth is due to a shift in the jet stream, which has been directing Atlantic weather fronts across the country. High pressure building from the south is expected to bring clearing skies and rising temperatures. While the South and South East are likely to see the highest temperatures, more unsettled conditions with blustery showers, thunder, and hail are expected in other areas through mid-week.
