The Kottoor forests recorded the highest diversity with 85 species, including rare sightings like the Sri Lanka frogmouth. Campuses, such as the Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute, also proved to be vital biodiversity hotspots, yielding 50 species.
