Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) is revolutionizing the tourist experience with a new virtual reality (VR) wildlife offering. Visitors can now step far beyond the traditional safari routes to vividly experience Tadoba's dense forests, wildlife, and seasonal beauty through a specially curated six-minute VR film.
This groundbreaking initiative aims to provide deeper ecological insights and unique close encounters with nature. Initially operational at Moharli and Khutwanda gates, VR viewing units are planned for expansion to all TATR entry points and potentially to local resorts.
The project also focuses on sustainable livelihood for buffer village communities. Local youth are managing the VR operations, charging a nominal Rs50 fee per session, which is expected to create direct employment for approximately 40 individuals and strengthen responsible eco-tourism.
