The deadline for Swachh Survekshan 2025-26 data submission is fast approaching, with urban local bodies required to upload all necessary information by April 5. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has emphasized that no extensions will be granted, signaling a stricter compliance approach this year.
The assessment for Swachh Survekshan 2025-26 will cover the period from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026. Cities must submit detailed data on Management Information System (MIS) and Geospatial Management Information System (GMIS), alongside their city profiles, to facilitate an accurate evaluation of ground realities.
Under the theme "Badhaye Haath, Kare Safayi Saath," cities will be evaluated on 174 parameters across 10 chapters. Key areas include waste segregation, solid waste management, sanitation, wastewater management, public awareness, and worker welfare. Notably, the weightage for citizen feedback has been doubled to 1,000 marks, making public input a critical component of the survey.
Preparations are notably underway in Jaipur, with the Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) accelerating its efforts to meet the stringent requirements of the upcoming survey.
