At the Green and Sustainable Development Forum, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) adopted the Ningbo initiative on Wednesday, establishing a cooperative partnership focused on green and low-carbon technologies among its member states.

The partnership aims to explore new pathways for global governance and build a community of life for humanity and nature. Key objectives include strengthening joint research and development of environmental and green technologies, alongside expanding training and knowledge sharing.
Furthermore, the initiative proposes integrating digital and intelligent technologies into ecological development and green industries. Pakistan's Minister of State for Climate Change, Shezra Kharal, welcomed the initiative, emphasizing the timely need for green partnerships and the potential of digital technologies to enhance environmental governance.
