Sambalpur Zoo Gets Majestic Tigers & Crocodiles

Sambalpur Zoo is set to become Odisha's second major zoological park, with plans for significant new attractions. A state-of-the-art tiger enclosure, designed to mimic natural habitats, will soon house two pairs of Royal Bengal Tigers. This development has received approval from the Central Zoo Authority, highlighting a commitment to enhancing wildlife conservation efforts.

Further enhancing the visitor experience, the zoo is also constructing an underwater viewing enclosure for Mugger and Gharial crocodiles. This feature will allow guests to observe the reptiles' behavior both on land and in their aquatic environment. These additions are part of a broader strategy to boost tourism in the region.

The zoo already boasts unique features like a glass-walled leopard enclosure and a nocturnal house. With the addition of these new exhibits, Sambalpur Zoo is solidifying its position as a premier wildlife destination in Odisha, combining conservation goals with engaging public viewing opportunities.
