A mama robin, seeking shelter after severe ice storms destroyed her usual nesting tree, unexpectedly chose a car's wheel well as her new home. The robin had previously nested in a tree near a resident named Kate's home east of Peterborough for several seasons. When the storm damaged the tree, the robin looked for an alternative, finding refuge in a vehicle parked in Kate's garage.
The robin's chosen spot presented a challenge for Kate's busy household, as multiple cars needed to be used regularly. Kate's family worked to coexist with the bird, ensuring her safety while managing their daily needs. This heartwarming situation resonated online, with many praising the family's compassionate efforts to care for wildlife and respect its needs.
