Discarded waste, often a menace, is being ingeniously repurposed to benefit local wildlife.
A resident recently rescued a jungle babbler, identified as a "Seven Sisters" bird, entangled in roadside garbage, highlighting the dangers posed by litter.
In a remarkable "Waste to Best" initiative, underprivileged students from the Challengers Group Trust have constructed 250 eco-friendly bird shelters and feeders. These structures utilize materials like MDF sheets, plastic bottles, jute, and cardboard, collected through a "Plastic Lao, Shiksha Pao" program.
These shelters have been installed across Noida sectors, offering much-needed refuge for birds. Organizers emphasize that such projects cultivate kindness, responsibility, and environmental awareness in children, demonstrating how waste can directly contribute to wildlife conservation efforts.
