Python Found Lurking in Delhi Apartments

A python was discovered near DDA Park in Delhi's Forest View Apartments, leading to its safe removal by the Forest Department. Wildlife SOS staff were observed in a video meticulously extracting the large snake from its hiding place beneath a wooden cot, where it was coiled among stored items.

Equipped with protective gloves, the handler carefully guided the python out and into a secure transport crate. The snake wrapped itself around the handler's arm as it was lifted, requiring a colleague's assistance to support its body and check for injuries. The safe relocation of the python was ensured.

It is believed that the python originated from the adjacent Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary. These sightings are often attributed to the monsoon season, a period when animals from forested areas tend to approach residential zones.
