Western Uttar Pradesh, including Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, and several other districts, is bracing for a severe heatwave. The district administration has issued a heatwave advisory, urging residents to take precautions against heat-related illnesses.
To mitigate the impact on children, government schools for classes 1 to 8 have revised their timings to 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Authorities advise residents to avoid going outdoors between noon and 3 PM unless essential, stay hydrated with fluids like lemon water and buttermilk, and wear light-colored cotton clothing. Preventive measures also include consuming light meals with seasonal fruits and vegetables and avoiding stale or oily food.
