Residents in affected areas have been advised to suspend outdoor activities like rice harvesting for immediate safety.
In response to these recurring climate-induced disasters, Nepal's Prime Minister has urged for enhanced cross-border cooperation among Nepal, India, and China. He highlighted that the recent floods serve as a stark warning of escalating climate risks in the Himalayas, emphasizing that climate change transcends national borders. A proposal was put forth for a Himalayan Climate Resilience Mechanism to bolster disaster forecasting and response capabilities through shared data and expertise.
