According to reports, air quality levels in Delhi and Mumbai plunged sharply following the festivities, with Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) crossing the 400 mark, entering the "severe" category, and Mumbai's AQI dropping to "very poor" levels in multiple areas.
Mira took to her Instagram Stories to voice her strong disapproval of the continued normalization of firecracker use, emphasizing that it is not acceptable even if it is done "just for the kids to see once" or "just for them to have the experience." She also criticized the practice of using firecrackers for "pataka aesthetic" and urged people to stop this behavior.
