16 Jun
Summary
- Two of four planned construction and demolition waste centers are complete.
- Manesar generates nearly 50 tonnes of C&D waste daily.
- A processing plant is slated for operation by early 2027.

The Municipal Corporation of Manesar (MCM) has made significant progress on its planned construction and demolition (C&D) waste management facilities. Two of the four designated collection centers are now complete, and the remaining two are scheduled for completion by the end of this month.
One of these four sites will be developed into a dedicated C&D waste processing plant, with the location finalized and awaiting final approval. This facility is expected to be operational by early 2027, addressing the city's pressing need for proper waste disposal.
Currently, Manesar generates around 50 tonnes of C&D waste daily. The new collection centers, located in Sector 6, Garhi, Harsaru, and Nainwal, will serve as points for gathering this waste before it is transported for processing.
This initiative aims to curb illegal dumping, a persistent issue in Manesar, particularly in the IMT sectors. The CAQM has emphasized the need for such facilities, noting that regions like Gurugram, Manesar, and Faridabad require better C&D waste processing infrastructure.
