The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow rain alert for all districts within the Konkan region, including Palghar, Thane, Mumbai, Raigad, and Ratnagiri, signaling the possibility of heatwave conditions persisting alongside expected light afternoon showers.
Further weather predictions indicate varied conditions statewide. Dhule district is likely to remain dry, while Nandurbar and Jalgaon may experience hot and humid weather. Nashik and Ahilyanagar anticipate light rain, with Pune expecting light to moderate rainfall. Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli, and Solapur districts are forecast to have thunderstorms with lightning.
In the Marathwada region, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Jalna districts have a yellow heat alert, with light rain expected in Parbhani and Hingoli. Beed, Nanded, Latur, and Dharashiv are forecast for light to moderate rain. The Vidarbha region's Amravati is also under a heatwave warning, while districts like Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha, and Yavatmal could see thunderstorms with gusty winds, and the heatwave may spread to these areas.
