Many working professionals find the morning pickup times unmanageable, and with public dumpsters removed, they resort to disposing of waste in nearby open areas.

To cope with accumulating garbage and odor, these residents are burning the waste, releasing toxic smoke into the atmosphere. Incidents of waste accumulation and subsequent burning have been reported across various city locations. Environmentalists warn that this shift poses severe health risks due to the emission of harmful pollutants like dioxins and fine particulate matter.

Experts propose solutions such as implementing evening collection shifts, installing smart community drop-boxes, and launching public awareness campaigns alongside stricter penalties for open burning.
