Frog Found Alive in Supermarket Lettuce Bag

A routine Saturday dinner took an unexpected turn when a farmer in Western Australia found a live frog inside a sealed bag of lettuce. The amphibian was discovered among the leaves of pre-packaged lettuce purchased from a local supermarket. Initially met with disbelief by his housemates, the frog's presence was confirmed, leading to amusement.

The housemates decided to name the frog Greg. After a brief and lighthearted farewell, they released him into a nearby dam. The supermarket has acknowledged the incident, describing it as seemingly isolated and stating that their quality control processes include checks for foreign materials before packaging.

Woolworths has apologized to the household and provided a replacement for the affected lettuce. The company has also confirmed that its teams are actively investigating the matter with their suppliers as a top priority to understand how this occurred.
