Sakthikulangara-Neendakara harbours followed with 3,248 birds, primarily egrets and kites. Polachira wetland shifted its community towards ducks and cormorants.

Crucially, the Pochappuram wetland was the only site where the near-threatened Black-tailed Godwit was observed. Despite the overall positive trend, localized declines were noted in areas like Munroe Island, and the Garganey duck was absent. However, 14 Asian woolly-necked storks were sighted, offering conservation hope.
