While past wildfire incidents in February and March, such as those in MM Hills Sanctuary and BRT Tiger Reserve, had a minimal impact, officials are prepared for the season. Fortunately, recent pre-monsoon rains in mid-March and early April have been beneficial, raising moisture levels and promoting vegetation growth. This rainfall has eased concerns about widespread fires and improved water availability for wildlife in areas like Bandipur.
