Injured Tiger Attacks Man, Then Dies of Wounds

An eight to ten-year-old tiger, observed to have significant old wounds on its forelegs and shoulders that impaired its mobility, attacked a 55-year-old individual near Udaypur village in the south Kheri forest division. The injured animal later died from its ailments a few hours after the attack.
Following the incident, forest officials conducted a search and located the tiger, which was found to be panting in a sugarcane field. A team of veterinary doctors was summoned to provide medical treatment. However, despite their best efforts, the tiger's existing conditions proved fatal, and it passed away on Monday night.
This unfortunate event represents the fourth tiger death recorded in the Kheri district within the last three months. Separately, in the Dudhwa buffer zone, officials captured a six-year-old leopard in the Belrayan range, the eighth big cat captured in the Nighasan area this year.
