On September 28, Delhi is forecast to experience partly cloudy skies, with temperatures expected to be between 1.6°C and 3°C below normal. The predominant surface wind will be from the northwest, shifting later in the day.
Uttarakhand is poised for significant rainfall activity, including isolated heavy downpours, widespread rain, thunderstorms, and lightning. Central India, encompassing West and East Madhya Pradesh, and Vidarbha, will also see isolated to scattered rainfall and thunderstorms through early October.
Eastern India, including Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal, will encounter scattered rainfall with thunderstorms until October 3. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are predicted to receive widespread rain and thundersqualls on September 28, with heavy rainfall expected.
Northeastern states like Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura anticipate thunderstorms and gusty winds, along with isolated heavy rainfall on September 29-30.
Southern and western regions are also affected. South Interior Karnataka and Tamil Nadu can expect isolated heavy rainfall from September 28 to October 1. Kerala and Mahe are forecast to receive heavy rainfall from September 30 to October 3. Parts of Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, and Maharashtra will see scattered rainfall. Thunderstorms and gusty winds are predicted across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala.
