Residents from Hyderabad and surrounding districts voiced urgent demands for the revival of lakes, flood channels, and parks, emphasizing the need to protect these water bodies from encroachments.
Citizens highlighted the transformation of developed lakes into tourist attractions and expressed a desire for similar improvements in their localities. Specific concerns included the removal of over 1,000 encroachments around Fox Sagar lake and the restoration of its connecting flood channel. Complaints also detailed attempts to destroy Malakunta Lake's bund in Rangareddy district for land occupation.
HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath personally addressed all 76 grievances, assigning them to the appropriate officials for field verification and subsequent action. The Prajavani forum continues to serve as a critical platform for addressing civic, environmental, and infrastructure issues across the Hyderabad region.
