Waste dumped near GLADA ground has reportedly been left unattended for days, leading to foul odors and deteriorating sanitary conditions. This problem has persisted for years, despite numerous complaints to the authorities. The unchecked accumulation of waste significantly impacts daily life and business activities.

Some residents suggest that the available waste-handling machinery is insufficient to manage the volume of waste generated. This inadequacy contributes to the ongoing buildup of garbage. Beyond sanitation, the area has also become a magnet for drug addicts and anti-social elements, escalating safety concerns. Residents report incidents of vehicle damage, particularly during evening hours, adding to the unease.

The situation is deemed critical due to the site's proximity to the civil hospital, raising questions about civic upkeep and public health standards. Ludhiana central MLA Ashok Prashar Pappi acknowledged efforts to improve waste management and assured enhanced police presence for security. The sanitation officer mentioned the land belongs to GLADA but committed to removing the garbage.
